Around 1600 BC, the Hittites in Central Anatolia made wine jugs with a hole in the middle to represent the sun to show respect to the sun god. Before sunrise, they placed the jug in which they filled wine, on the highest hill of the place where they were, so that the first light of the sun would be received. They believe that the wine is blessed when the light of the rising sun passes through the gap in the middle of this jug. The consecrated wine was consumed during religious ceremonies and before men enlisted in the military.
We use Kütahya and Iznik patterns, the cultural heritage of centuries, as well as blending modern patterns and colors in our pattern combinations.
